How to get Idaho divorce records

In Idaho, order a certified divorce record from the Idaho Bureau of Vital Records and Health Statistics for divorce certificates, or from the county court for decrees.1 Divorce decrees come from the county where the divorce was granted, not the state office.1 Each certified copy costs $162. You can order online, by mail or at a local office. Only the people the state lists below can order a certified copy. The fastest published option is online: 3 to 5 weeks3.

Decree or certificate

The decree, the court's judgment with the terms of the divorce, comes from the clerk of the court that granted it. Idaho also keeps a state record of divorces at its vital records office1; it shows that the divorce happened, not its terms. Divorce certificate vs decree explains which one an agency usually wants.
