How to get Texas divorce records
In Texas, get a certified copy of the divorce decree from the district clerk of the county where the divorce was granted.1 DSHS issues only divorce verification letters (divorces since 1968), not certified decrees.1 You can order at a local office. A verification letter from the state costs $202 and can be ordered online, by mail or in person; it confirms the event but is not a certified copy.
