How to get a Colorado marriage certificate

In Colorado, order a certified marriage certificate from the Clerk and Recorder of the county where the license was issued (certified copy of the record). CDPHE issues a certified verification only.1 The state issues a "verification" of a marriage or civil union, not a copy of the certificate.2 The first copy costs $253 and each additional copy ordered at the same time costs $203. You can order online, by mail, in person or at a local office. The fastest published option is by mail: 21 to 25 business days4.
